Heating Installation in Everett, WA

Replacing a heating system in an Everett home is a decision you make once every 15 to 25 years. The right sizing, efficiency choice, and install quality shape your energy bills and comfort for the next two decades. HotWire does the design work up front and installs to spec.

Heating Installation Decisions in Everett

  • Gas furnace vs. heat pump vs. dual-fuel: real cost analysis. PSE natural gas rates, electric rates, PSE heat pump rebates, and federal 25C tax credits change the math from the traditional ‘gas is cheaper.’ We run the numbers for your specific Everett home and usage.
  • Sizing matters more than efficiency rating. A 96% AFUE furnace that’s oversized short-cycles and wastes more energy than an 80% AFUE unit sized correctly. Manual J load calculation is standard on every install. Rule-of-thumb sizing is how contractors sell equipment. Correct sizing is how equipment lasts.
  • Ductwork evaluation before install. Older Everett homes have ductwork sized for 1960s furnace airflow. Modern high-efficiency equipment needs different airflow. Sometimes ductwork modification is needed. We test static pressure and identify problems before you commit to equipment.
  • Heat pump cold-climate performance. Modern cold-climate heat pumps (Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat, Daikin Fit, Carrier Infinity 24) deliver rated heat down to 5°F. Older heat pumps struggled below 30°F. Everett’s climate suits modern heat pumps well. Auxiliary heat rarely runs.
  • PSE rebate stacking with federal tax credits. Heat pumps qualify for both. Combined incentives on a mid-tier install can total $3,000 to $4,000 back. We handle the paperwork.
  • Boiler-to-heat-pump conversion in older Everett homes. Rucker Hill and Historic District Craftsmans with aging boilers face a real decision: replace with a new gas boiler ($9,000 to $15,000), or convert to a heat pump system. We do both and give you honest tradeoff analysis.

Heating Systems We Install in Everett

Gas forced-air furnaces from 80% to 98% AFUE, single-stage, two-stage, or fully modulating variable-speed. Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, Bryant, Goodman, American Standard. Central heat pumps paired with air handlers or existing furnaces (dual-fuel configuration where gas takes over below a set balance point). Same major brands plus specialty cold-climate lines. Ductless heat pumps for retrofit heating without ducts, or for zone-by-zone control in Rucker Hill and Historic District Craftsmans. Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat, Daikin Aurora, Fujitsu Halcyon XLTH. Hydronic boiler replacements (gas, condensing high-efficiency) for Everett homes still on hot-water heat. Weil-McLain, Lochinvar, Viessmann, Buderus. Electric furnaces where gas isn’t available or as backup for heat pumps in cold-climate installs. Radiant floor heating installation on remodels and additions.

Gas furnace replacement (equipment plus labor): $5,500 to $12,500 depending on brand, efficiency tier, and site conditions. Central heat pump: $9,500 to $18,500. Ductless heat pump single-zone: $4,500 to $7,500. Multi-zone ductless: $9,500 to $22,000. High-efficiency gas boiler: $9,000 to $18,000. Every quote itemized in writing.
For most Everett homes with existing ductwork or space for ductless: yes. Puget Sound's mild winter climate suits modern heat pumps. PSE rebates ($1,000 to $2,000) plus federal tax credits (up to $2,000) reduce the effective cost. Operating cost usually lower than gas over the equipment lifetime. We model your specific home at the estimate.
Usually no. Sometimes yes. Older Everett ductwork often works fine with modern furnaces if static pressure tests within manufacturer range. Undersized main trunks or return air paths sometimes need modification. We test at the site and tell you honestly what needs work versus what's fine as-is.
Standard gas furnace swap: 1 day. Heat pump with air handler: 1 to 2 days. Boiler replacement: 2 to 4 days depending on scope. Multi-zone ductless: 2 to 4 days. Firm schedule at contract signing.

Heating Brands We Install in Everett

Furnace brands: Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, Bryant, Goodman, American Standard, and Amana. Heat pump specialty: Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, LG. Boilers: Weil-McLain, Lochinvar, Viessmann, Buderus. Selection depends on your home configuration, budget, efficiency target, and rebate eligibility. We walk you through options honestly.

Why Choose HotWire for Heating Installation in Everett

Our install process starts with a proper site evaluation. Manual J load calculation, ductwork inspection with static pressure testing, gas line sizing check, electrical service adequacy review, combustion venting evaluation. Based on findings, we recommend equipment sized correctly for your home. Skip these steps and you get a system that runs poorly, wastes energy, and fails early. Every installer does load calcs on paper. We do them at your house.

Installation follows manufacturer spec exactly. Combustion venting sized and installed per code. Gas lines pressure-tested. Condensate drainage routed properly to avoid basement moisture problems (especially in Riverside and Delta homes near the Snohomish River). Startup commissioning documented with combustion analyzer readings, temperature rise measurement, static pressure verification, and gas pressure at the manifold. This documentation matters for your warranty file and for the next tech who works on the system.

PSE rebate paperwork handled end to end. Federal 25C tax credit documentation provided. Washington L&I permits pulled when scope requires them (as it does for most furnace and boiler installs). Financing available including 0% APR options. Free written estimates across every Everett neighborhood.

Everett dispatch runs out of our Bothell office. We cover every Everett ZIP for heating installation same-day when we can, and back that up with emergency response for critical failures. Snohomish County service extends to Bothell, Mukilteo, Marysville, Lake Stevens, Mill Creek, and Snohomish. Call to book.

Excellent experience with HotWire. We replaced an old AC unit and furnace with a new dual-fuel heat pump and furnace. They was extremely responsive and honest — patiently answered all my detailed questions, right-sized the system rather than overselling, and was transparent on pricing and rebates. Competitive quote, clean professional install, permits and inspection handled. Highly recommend for anyone in similar needs!

Alex was incredibly helpful when my washer wouldn’t drain. He quickly identified the root cause and I was able to schedule the repair for the day after the new part was ordered. Alex was professional, efficient, and I sincerely appreciated his attention to detail. He made sure that everything was running properly before leaving and even helped resolve some other issues in my apartment, such as finding what was causing the beeping in the laundry room and helping with a loose cabinet door.

I would highly recommend Alex for any form of repair! (And my cat was a fan too)

Dropping from 5 stars to 1 because of technician lack of professionalism and demeanor. Alex K was efficient, thorough, on time, and temporarily fixed my dishwasher. It was not draining and the arm had fallen off - he fixed the drain problem but the arm has fallen off again since. It cost $270 and I tipped him. However, immediately after he left, the garbage disposal did not work. I called the company back and they sent him back after a few days. He was not interested in hearing my concerns, asked if I would accuse him of breaking the fridge if that stopped working, and was very confrontational. He told me that it would be $200 to repair because of a problem with the electric panel supplying the dishwasher. I told Alex K that I was going to get a second opinion and that if he was right, I would acknowledge that, and if he was wrong, I would change my review and notify the company. He stormed out of my house essentially yelling at me for wasting his time.

I just had that second opinion from Eco Electric, Plumbing, and Heating. My tech, Zach, looked under the sink, found the outlet, and pushed the reset button. Voila. Garbage disposal working again. $50 consult fee and an even better tip for him.

I do not recommend Hotwire Furnace, and I definitely do not recommend Alex K.

The fan motor in my old freezer failed. An original part was no longer available, but the HotWire tech found a compatible motor and replaced it. That was about 8 months ago. The motor sounds a little different, but I haven’t had any issues with the freezer. The technician was very professional, friendly, and got the work done efficiently. Very happy with the work and the results!

I had my refrigerator serviced recently, and the experience was positive. The technician showed up right on time and was professional throughout the visit. They quickly identified the problem and gave a clear explanation of the required repair steps and costs involved.

The work was completed efficiently and to a high standard, but I did feel the price was on the higher side. Despite that, the quality and promptness of the service were impressive. I’d recommend them if you’re looking for reliable and professional repairs, though the cost might be a consideration.
