Dishwasher Repair in Sammamish, WA

Dishwasher failures in Sammamish kitchens tend to happen quietly — a dish comes out cloudy, water pools in the tub after the cycle, or the door starts leaking onto the hardwood. HotWire diagnoses and repairs every dishwasher brand in Plateau homes, same day.

Dishwasher Problems We See in Sammamish

  • Water pooling in the tub after the cycle finishes — drain pump clogged with food debris, air gap blocked, or the check valve on the drain hose stuck. Common across every brand.
  • Dishes coming out cloudy or with white film — often diagnosed as hard-water buildup, but on Sammamish Plateau homes on private wells (Pine Lake, Beaver Lake, Inglewood Hill) this is usually genuine mineral scale on the heating element and spray arms. We can clean and advise on rinse-aid dosing and water softening.
  • Dishwasher won’t start or displays error codes — modern Bosch, Miele, KitchenAid, and Thermador dishwashers log fault codes; we interpret them and diagnose accurately. Most common: E15 on Bosch (leak sensor triggered by pan water), E:24 (drain issue).
  • Leaking from the door or the base — door gasket compressed and hardened, or float switch stuck. Kitchen hardwood floors — the standard in Sammamish custom homes — take real damage from a leaking dishwasher, so we treat these as priority repairs.
  • Motor humming but no water circulation — impeller stuck with food debris or wash motor seized. Common on 8+ year old Whirlpool, KitchenAid, GE, and Frigidaire dishwashers in Trossachs and Klahanie kitchens.
  • Loud grinding or buzzing during cycle — foreign object (bone, silverware handle, plastic) stuck in the drain pump or wash pump. We open the pump housing and clear it.

Dishwasher Types We Service in Sammamish

Built-in 24-inch dishwashers are the standard across Sammamish — Bosch 300/500/800 series, Miele G-series, KitchenAid, Thermador Star Sapphire, Whirlpool, Samsung, LG, and GE Profile. Panel-ready integrated dishwashers (custom cabinet-front panel installed by the cabinet maker, common in Sammamish remodeled kitchens) get specialty diagnostic since the door hinge and spring balance is calibrated for the added panel weight. Drawer dishwashers from Fisher & Paykel and KitchenAid — increasingly popular in Sammamish luxury kitchens for their flexibility — require specific knowledge for repair; we’re trained on them. 18-inch compact dishwashers common in Sammamish ADUs, wet bars, and secondary kitchens (butler pantries, outdoor kitchens with covered plumbing) get service too. Every ADA-compliant and premium sanitize-cycle unit is within our capability.

Common repairs: drain pump $195–$295, door gasket $195–$325, control board $325–$525, water inlet valve $155–$225, float switch $135–$185, wash motor $475–$675, heating element $195–$285. Bosch and Miele repairs may run 15–20% higher due to premium parts pricing. Every quote is flat-rate written before work.
Yes — we're specifically experienced with panel-ready installations. The custom cabinet front adds weight that affects hinge tension and spring balance; when we service the machine we recalibrate the door balance so the panel doesn't fall open or slam. Common request in Sammamish remodeled kitchens.
Almost always yes, unless the tub itself is cracked (rare). Door gasket replacement, tub seal repair, and float switch replacement are all standard repairs in the $150–$400 range that solve the leak permanently. Only when a leak has already damaged surrounding cabinetry do the numbers get complicated — and even then repair usually still makes sense.
Emergency leak calls (active water, floor at risk) get priority same-day dispatch, typically within 2–4 hours of your call. Standard repair bookings get same-day service by afternoon for morning call-ins.

Dishwasher repair in a Sammamish home typically involves a built-in unit tucked under a granite or quartz counter, sometimes with a custom cabinet panel front, always plumbed into the sink drain and a hot water supply that runs under the floor. Pulling the machine correctly, protecting the flooring, and re-plumbing to code takes attention that generic handyman services often skip — resulting in leaks, damaged tub gaskets, or scratched hardwood. Our techs are trained specifically for this work, and we treat your kitchen the way we treat our own.

The diagnostic process starts with the fault codes (on modern units), a physical inspection of the drain path and door gasket, and a cycle test to observe the failure mode directly. Most common repairs — drain pump, door gasket, control board, thermistor — are completed in a single visit with parts from the truck. Uncommon failures on European brands may require a return visit with a special-order part; we quote both parts and labor together upfront so you know exactly what you’re paying.

Every dishwasher repair carries our 90-day workmanship warranty and full manufacturer parts warranty. Same-day Sammamish dispatch for morning bookings. Emergency response when active leaking threatens hardwood floors. We handle every neighborhood on the Plateau, gated or otherwise.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
