Commercial Range & Oven Repair in Sammamish, WA

Commercial ranges and ovens in Sammamish restaurants, schools, and assisted living kitchens see production volume that residential equipment couldn’t survive a week of. When they fail, HotWire’s commercial techs respond fast with the right parts and expertise.

Commercial Range & Oven Problems We See in Sammamish

  • Multi-burner range with one or more burners not lighting — pilot orifices clogged with grease, burner air mixing tubes fouled, or gas valve tolerances drifted after years of thermal cycling. Common on Vulcan, Wolf, and Southbend heavy-duty ranges.
  • Convection oven not achieving temperature — burner tube deposits, blower motor slowing, thermostat drift, or gas valve regulation issue. Blodgett, Vulcan, Garland convection ovens all show this pattern eventually.
  • Oven door won’t seal or the gasket has failed — high-cycle commercial oven doors go through thermal expansion cycles constantly; gaskets flatten and the door misaligns. Fixable in one visit typically.
  • Salamander or cheese-melter broiler not heating — infrared emitter failed, gas valve issue, or the thermostat lost calibration. Common on Vulcan, Bakers Pride, and Wolf salamander-style broilers used heavily in Sammamish Highlands restaurants.
  • Griddle plate cold spots — burner burnt out below one section of the griddle, or thermostat sensor drift on units with electronic temperature control. Diagnostic identifies which zone is failing.
  • Standing pilot problems on legacy equipment — older commercial ranges still in service at some Sammamish schools and assisted living facilities have standing pilots; thermocouple wear and pilot orifice fouling cause chronic light-and-out cycles. We service these.

Commercial Range & Oven Types We Service

Restaurant ranges — 4-burner, 6-burner, 8-burner, 10-burner configurations, sometimes with griddle or char-broiler sections — are the workhorse cooking platforms in Sammamish restaurants. Vulcan V-series, Wolf Endurance Restaurant, Southbend Ultimate, Garland U-series, Imperial IR, and Star Manufacturing are common. Convection ovens for baking and roasting — Blodgett Mark V, Vulcan VC44, Garland MCO, Southbend ES-series — serve independently or paired under ranges. Salamander broilers, cheese-melters, and infrared broilers add specialty capacity. Stack ovens (multiple convection ovens stacked vertically) are common in higher-volume Sammamish restaurant kitchens. Combi ovens (steam + convection combined, from Rational, Alto-Shaam, Blodgett Combi) are increasingly present in Sammamish upscale restaurants and assisted living kitchens; we’re trained on the combi platforms specifically. Countertop and half-size electric convection ovens serve smaller operations. Every configuration and every fuel type — natural gas, LP, electric — within our capability.

During service hours (breakfast, lunch, dinner windows), emergency response for an actively-down commercial range typically arrives within 2–4 hours of the call. Between service periods and during off-peak times, response is faster still. We route commercial calls to our senior commercial techs specifically.
Yes — factory-trained on Rational SelfCooking Center and iCombi platforms, Alto-Shaam Combitherm, Blodgett Combi, and Cleveland Convotherm. Combi ovens are complex machines combining steam and convection heating with sophisticated control systems; they require specific expertise most local service companies don't have. We do.
Yes — every commercial tech holds current Washington L&I gas piping certification required for commercial gas appliance repair. All permits when required by scope of work are pulled by us. You don't manage the L&I side.
Yes — quarterly, semi-annual, or annual PM contracts available for Sammamish commercial kitchens. Includes burner cleaning, thermocouple testing, gas pressure verification, thermostat calibration, safety valve testing, and door gasket inspection. Significantly reduces emergency callouts and extends equipment life. Custom scope based on your specific equipment.

Commercial range and oven repair is fundamentally different from residential work — the equipment is heavier, gas pressures are higher, burners are larger, thermal masses are greater, and duty cycles are constant. A residential appliance tech attempting a commercial repair without the right tools and training can damage equipment expensively and fail to solve the root cause. Our commercial team is L&I certified for commercial gas work, factory-trained on Vulcan, Wolf Restaurant, Southbend, Garland, and Blodgett platforms, and equipped with the specific tools these units require.

Response times matter enormously in the restaurant environment. Sammamish Highlands and Pine Lake Village restaurants running dinner service that lose a range face immediate revenue impact and cascading kitchen disruption — the line has to reconfigure production around the failure while diners wait longer. We push these calls to the front of the dispatch queue and typically arrive within 2–4 hours of the emergency call. School and assisted living kitchens have their own urgency — meals must reach residents or students at specific times, and workaround options are limited.

Every repair is quoted flat-rate written before work when possible. Emergency dispatch pricing is fair; we don’t triple rates because a restaurant is desperate. 90-day workmanship warranty on labor; full manufacturer parts warranty. Preventive maintenance contracts available to Sammamish restaurants to reduce emergency callouts.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
