Washer Repair in Sammamish, WA

Washer failures in Sammamish homes come with real consequences — soccer uniforms for tomorrow’s game, work clothes for Monday, and a wet floor that damages hardwood if it’s front-load. HotWire’s laundry techs handle every brand and every failure mode, same day.

Washer Problems We Fix in Sammamish

  • Front-load washer leaking from the door boot — the rubber boot gasket collects debris (kids’ pockets full of Sammamish trail dirt, dog hair, pine needles from wooded lots), tears at the folds, and drips water onto the floor mid-cycle. Hardwood damage is the real cost. Common on Samsung WF, LG WM, Whirlpool Duet, and Maytag Bravos units.
  • Washer won’t drain — clothes soaking in dirty water — drain pump clogged with a lost sock, coin, or hairband, or the pump motor itself failed. Standard fix, we clear it and test the pump on site.
  • Washer walking across the laundry room floor — worn shock absorbers, broken suspension springs, or an unbalanced drum from spider arm corrosion. The spider-arm problem is chronic on 2012–2018 Samsung WF and LG WM front-loaders — we replace the assembly when we see it.
  • Error codes — LE, UE, dE, F5, E13 — flashing on the display — modern washers log their failures. LE on LG (locked motor). UE on Samsung (unbalanced load). dE (door lock). We interpret manufacturer codes and diagnose from there.
  • Miele or Bosch washer stopping mid-cycle with cryptic errors — European front-loaders in Sammamish premium homes require specialty diagnostic tools we carry. Most local repair companies decline these; we service them factory-trained.
  • Top-load washer that fills but doesn’t agitate — direct-drive motor coupling worn out on Whirlpool/Maytag/Kenmore units, or lid switch failed. Common on Speed Queen and older Maytag Bravos and Whirlpool Cabrio units in longer-tenure Pine Lake and Beaver Lake homes.

Washer Types We Service in Sammamish

Front-load high-efficiency washers dominate Sammamish laundry rooms — Samsung WF, LG WM, Whirlpool Duet, Maytag Bravos XL, GE Profile, Bosch 500/800, and Miele W1. We repair every failure mode from the door boot leaks to spider-arm imbalance to drum bearing replacement. Top-load high-efficiency (impeller-style) washers from Whirlpool Cabrio, Samsung, LG, and Maytag Bravos are common in mid-2000s Trossachs and Klahanie builds — we handle the direct-drive motor and control board issues these develop. Traditional top-load agitator washers (Speed Queen, older Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag) survive in Pine Lake and Beaver Lake pockets and in some intentionally-simple Sammamish laundry rooms; they’re mechanically simpler but parts still fail. Compact and stackable washers (Bosch, Miele, LG WM3) common in Sammamish condos and ADUs get specialty service. Commercial-grade residential units (Speed Queen TR, Miele Little Giants) in larger families and Sammamish estate homes are our specialty too.

Common repairs: drain pump $195–$295, door boot gasket $325–$495, shock absorbers $275–$425, suspension springs $195–$325, motor coupling $185–$275, control board $325–$575, drum bearing (major repair) $525–$895. European brand (Miele, Bosch) repairs may run 15–25% higher due to parts pricing. Every quote is written flat-rate before work.
Yes — factory-trained on Miele W1 and Bosch 500/800 platforms with the specialty diagnostic tools and parts channels these European brands require. Many local competitors won't touch them; we service them routinely. Sammamish's premium household density means we do these often.
Yes. Musty smell almost always comes from biofilm buildup in the door boot, drain pump, and drum. We can perform a deep-clean service that removes the biofilm, replace the door boot if the gasket is compromised, and give you a maintenance routine that prevents recurrence. Front-loaders in Sammamish's cool wet climate develop this faster than average.
Morning bookings usually get same-day service by afternoon. Afternoon bookings get next-morning first-slot when we can arrange it. Emergency response (active leak, damaged floor) can arrive within 2–3 hours of the call. Sammamish addresses are core dispatch territory, not overflow.

Washer repair in Sammamish is about correct diagnosis first, part swap second. The most common mistake we see from other repair calls is a technician replacing the control board when the actual failure was a wire harness intermittent, or replacing a drain pump when the actual problem was a foreign object in the pump path that needs removal (not part replacement). Our techs troubleshoot to root cause, meaning the repair actually solves the problem instead of masking it briefly before it comes back.

Sammamish laundry rooms tend to be well-appointed second-floor spaces on the main house, or main-floor spaces near the mudroom — both accessible without difficulty in most homes. When we arrive, we protect flooring and cabinetry before pulling the machine, work cleanly, and vacuum any debris before leaving. That matters when the laundry room has real hardwood floors or custom cabinetry (common on the Plateau).

Every washer repair is flat-rate quoted in writing before work begins. 90-day workmanship warranty on our labor. Parts warrantied through the manufacturer. Same-day Sammamish dispatch for morning bookings. Emergency response for actively-leaking washers threatening hardwood floors.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
