Commercial Refrigerator Repair in Sammamish, WA

A failing commercial refrigerator or walk-in cooler puts thousands of dollars of food inventory at risk within hours. HotWire’s commercial refrigeration team responds 24/7 across Sammamish to prevent food loss and health-code violations.

Commercial Refrigeration Problems We Diagnose

  • Walk-in cooler temperature climbing — condenser fan failure, refrigerant charge low from a slow leak, evaporator coil iced from defrost failure, or compressor short-cycling. Diagnostic isolates cause using pressure/temperature analysis; food-safety concern makes this an urgent priority.
  • Reach-in cooler not maintaining temperature — evaporator fan motor failed, defrost timer or heater failed causing ice buildup, or door gasket compromised admitting warm humid Plateau air. Common on True T-series, Traulsen G-series, and Continental 2R.
  • Compressor running continuously but not cooling — refrigerant leak, TXV or metering device stuck, or compressor internal wear. Diagnostic requires proper refrigeration gauges and superheat/subcool measurement.
  • Excessive ice buildup on evaporator — defrost heater failure, defrost termination sensor failure, or door left open frequently. Diagnostic identifies the failure mode.
  • Loud noise from condenser or compressor — fan motor bearing failure, compressor internal noise, or refrigerant flooding back to compressor. Bearing noise is a call-us-before-it-fails signal.
  • Prep-table refrigerated section (pizza prep, sandwich prep) warm — separate evaporator or condensate drainage issue distinct from the walk-in or reach-in main system. Diagnostic considers prep-table specific failure modes.

Commercial Refrigeration We Service in Sammamish

Walk-in coolers and freezers — the backbone of any Sammamish restaurant or commercial kitchen — with independent condensing units on rooftop or side of building, evaporator inside the box, and control panel typically indoor. We service the full system: refrigerant charge, evaporator, condenser, controls, defrost, and door gaskets. Reach-in commercial refrigerators — 1-door, 2-door, 3-door configurations from True Manufacturing, Traulsen, Continental, Beverage-Air, Delfield — are the working refrigerators in Sammamish restaurant service lines. Pizza prep tables and sandwich prep refrigerators with refrigerated rails combining refrigerated storage with prep surfaces — Delfield, True, Randell, Continental. Undercounter refrigerators and freezers for prep stations, wine chillers, keg coolers, back-bar coolers, deli display cases, bakery display cases, and specialty units. Refrigerated merchandisers with glass doors for retail environments — Beverage-Air, True Manufacturing, Turbo Air. Every configuration and every capacity within our capability. Full manufacturer certifications on True, Traulsen, Beverage-Air, and Turbo Air.

Yes — 24/7 emergency dispatch for Sammamish commercial refrigeration. When you call after hours, you reach a live dispatcher who routes directly to the on-call refrigeration tech. Emergency response typically 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on time of day and current call volume.
Common repairs: evaporator fan motor $325–$495, condenser fan motor $275–$475, defrost heater $325–$525, defrost timer or termination sensor $195–$325, TXV metering device $475–$795, refrigerant leak repair with recharge $625–$1,850 depending on refrigerant type and leak location, compressor replacement (major) $2,500–$5,500 including labor. Every quote flat-rate written before work.
Yes — full walk-in cooler and freezer service capability. Sammamish restaurants, schools, assisted living, and grocery-adjacent operations (Metropolitan Market, PCC deli sections) all get service. Refrigerant work, evaporator repair, condenser cleaning, door gasket replacement, and controls diagnostics all within our capability.
Yes — quarterly, semi-annual, or annual PM contracts for Sammamish commercial refrigeration. Includes coil cleaning (evaporator and condenser), refrigerant charge verification, defrost testing, door gasket inspection, controls calibration, and minor parts replacement. Contract customers get priority emergency response and reduced emergency rates.

Commercial refrigeration is where the stakes get real — a failed walk-in cooler at a Sammamish restaurant during a summer weekend can lose $8,000–$25,000 in food inventory before Monday morning, plus create a health-code catastrophe that closes the operation until inspection clears. Our commercial refrigeration team runs 24/7 emergency dispatch specifically because of this reality. When you call after hours for a commercial refrigeration emergency, you reach an on-call tech who dispatches directly — not a call center that promises callbacks. Response times for true emergencies typically 90 minutes to 3 hours from your call.

Every commercial refrigeration tech on our team holds EPA 608 refrigerant certification (Universal), Washington L&I refrigeration credentials, and factory training on True, Traulsen, Beverage-Air, and Hoshizaki platforms. We carry commercial refrigeration gauges, recovery machines, brazing equipment, nitrogen for leak testing, and diagnostic tools required for proper commercial work. Residential-only appliance techs cannot do commercial refrigeration properly — the training and equipment gap is real.

Every commercial refrigeration repair is quoted flat-rate when possible; emergency after-hours diagnostic is quoted transparently. 90-day workmanship warranty; full manufacturer parts warranty. Preventive maintenance contracts available for Sammamish restaurants, schools, and assisted living facilities — quarterly PM including coil cleaning, refrigerant charge verification, condenser airflow inspection, defrost testing, door gasket condition, and controls calibration.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
