Washer Repair in Redmond WA

Washer stopped mid-cycle in Redmond? We fix front-load, top-load, and stackable units across LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, and every major brand. Same day.

Washer Problems We Fix in Redmond

  • Washer won’t drain and clothes come out soaking wet — usually a clogged drain pump filter, kinked drain hose, or failed drain pump motor
  • Machine won’t spin or the drum barely turns — typically a broken drive belt, worn clutch assembly, or motor coupling failure
  • Front-load washer leaking water from underneath — commonly a torn door boot seal, a common failure on LG and Samsung front-loaders after 6-8 years
  • Excessive vibration and the washer walking across the floor — worn shock absorbers or a broken suspension spring letting the drum swing unbalanced
  • Loud banging or grinding noise during the spin cycle — usually failed tub bearings, an involved repair we quote honestly against replacement
  • Washer won’t start or the door won’t lock — a failed door interlock switch or main control board issue we diagnose with meter readings
  • Cycle takes twice as long as normal to complete — often a failing water inlet valve, restricted water supply, or sensor giving false readings
  • Detergent or fabric softener not dispensing during cycles — a clogged dispenser drawer or failed dispenser solenoid on newer smart washers
  • Error code flashing on the digital display — we look up the specific code for your model to pinpoint the fault before pulling parts

Washer Types We Service in Redmond

Front-Load Washers — the dominant style in Redmond’s newer construction and downtown condos, particularly LG and Samsung high-efficiency models with smart WiFi controls.

Top-Load Washers — still common across Redmond’s older Education Hill and Grass Lawn neighborhoods, mostly Whirlpool and Maytag models 8-15 years old that are worth repairing rather than replacing.

Stackable Washer-Dryer Units — common in Redmond townhomes, condos near the light rail, and space-constrained laundry closets. Requires specific access and disassembly know-how that not every repair company handles.

Yes, and it's one of our more common Redmond service categories given how much multifamily and townhome construction has happened downtown and near the light rail. Stackable units require specific disassembly know-how. You can't just pull the top one off the bottom one, and our techs have that experience across the LG, Samsung, and Whirlpool stackable configurations most common in Redmond. For stackable configurations, we bring the equipment needed to safely separate the units without damaging the wall or the appliances themselves.
The most common cause we see in Redmond is a torn door boot seal, the rubber gasket between the drum and the door frame. LG and Samsung front-loaders often develop small tears in this seal after 6-8 years of use, and it's a standard first-visit repair with parts our vans carry. LG and Samsung door boot seals are among the parts we stock deepest given how common this failure is across Redmond front-load installations.
It depends on the age and overall condition of the machine. Bearing jobs are labor-intensive and can push repair cost close to replacement territory on 10+ year old units. We'll quote both the repair and lay out replacement cost so you can make an informed decision. Sometimes the repair still wins, sometimes not. Bearing repair timelines vary by brand. Some units are labor-intensive, others are more accessible, and this affects the repair economics.
Yes, we service both brands regularly in Redmond's higher-end kitchens and downtown condos. Parts sometimes take an extra day to source through specialty distributors compared to LG or Samsung, but the repair itself is generally straightforward given how well-built these European brands are. European brand parts availability has improved significantly in recent years, and next-day delivery is now typical for most common Bosch and Miele service parts.

Washer repair calls in Redmond generally fall into two buckets: mechanical failures on units 8+ years old like bearings, belts, and pumps, and electronic control failures on newer smart washers where the mechanicals are still fine. Our techs handle both, and the diagnostic approach differs significantly between them. We don’t send an electronics specialist to what’s really a bearing job, or vice versa.

Our vans carry the parts behind most Redmond washer service calls: drain pumps, door boot seals, shock absorbers, drive belts, water inlet valves, and control boards for the LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, and Maytag models we see most. Bosch and Miele parts we source through specialty distributors, sometimes with a day’s turnaround.

Diagnosis first, always. You get a fixed price in writing before we start the repair, and if the fault is easier than the symptoms suggested, the price still holds. If it turns out to be a bearing job on an aging washer, we’ll walk you through the repair versus replace math honestly. Sometimes repair wins, sometimes it doesn’t, and we’ll tell you which side the numbers fall on.

Every washer repair in Redmond includes our 90-day parts and labor warranty. Same issue returns within that window and we’re back at zero cost. This covers all brands and every repair type, from a simple drain pump swap to a full drum bearing replacement.

For Redmond condos and townhomes with laundry closets, we’re mindful of access constraints during any washer service call. Stackable units often require removing the dryer from the top before the washer can be serviced properly, and we bring the equipment needed to do this safely without damaging the unit or the wall behind it. This access-aware approach matters more than most homeowners realize.

For Redmond homeowners weighing washer replacement against repair, we can discuss the current market on comparable replacement units during any diagnostic visit. Sometimes the honest answer is that a mid-tier LG or Samsung replacement makes more sense than a $600 repair on a 12-year-old unit, and we’ll say so rather than pushing a repair that doesn’t serve you long-term.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
