Furnace Repair in Bellevue, WA

Your furnace is the only thing standing between your family and a cold Bellevue winter night. When it fails — and it always picks the worst possible time — HotWire is the call to make. We repair gas and electric furnaces across every Bellevue neighborhood, from Tam O’Shanter to Vuecrest. Our trucks carry igniters, flame sensors, blower motors, and control boards so most repairs are done in one visit. Licensed gas technicians, flat-rate pricing, same-day service.

Common Furnace Problems

  • Furnace not producing heat — A cracked igniter, a dirty flame sensor, or a failed gas valve. This is the most urgent furnace call, especially during Bellevue’s December and January cold snaps.
  • Furnace short cycling — The unit fires up, runs for a few minutes, then shuts off before the house is warm. Usually a dirty filter restricting airflow, a failing limit switch, or an oversized system.
  • Blower runs constantly — The fan limit switch is stuck or the thermostat is set to “ON” instead of “AUTO.” If switching the thermostat doesn’t fix it, the limit switch needs replacement.
  • Furnace making loud noises — Banging at startup usually means delayed ignition from a dirty burner. Squealing points to a worn belt or bearing. Rattling suggests loose ductwork or panels.
  • Yellow or flickering pilot flame — A healthy flame is blue and steady. A yellow, flickering flame indicates incomplete combustion and possible carbon monoxide production. This is a safety issue requiring immediate service.
  • Thermostat not communicating with furnace — Wiring issues, a dead thermostat battery, or a failed control board can break communication. We test the entire circuit to find the disconnect.
  • Furnace leaking water — High-efficiency condensing furnaces produce water as a byproduct. A clogged condensate drain, cracked collector, or broken pump causes leaks. Standard furnaces shouldn’t leak water at all — if yours does, something else is wrong.

Lennox Furnace Repair in Bellevue

Lennox furnaces are one of the most common brands in Bellevue homes. We repair SL, EL, and ML series units including ignition system failures, blower motor replacements, heat exchanger inspections, and circuit board diagnostics. Lennox units use iComfort smart controls that occasionally need reprogramming or replacement — we handle that too.

Trane Furnace Repair in Bellevue

Trane XR, XV, and S-series furnaces are built tough, but high-use winters in Bellevue still take their toll. We repair flame sensor issues, inducer motor failures, gas valve problems, and thermostat communication errors. Our techs are familiar with Trane’s communicating system protocol and can troubleshoot it quickly.

Goodman Furnace Repair in Bellevue

Goodman furnaces offer great value and are common in Bellevue’s newer homes and apartment complexes. We service all Goodman gas and electric furnace models including igniter replacements, pressure switch diagnostics, blower wheel cleaning, and draft inducer motor swaps.

Carrier Furnace Repair in Bellevue

Carrier Infinity and Performance series furnaces are popular in Bellevue’s mid-range and custom homes. We handle modulating gas valve repairs, variable-speed blower motor diagnostics, and Infinity control board replacements. Carrier’s diagnostic LED codes help us pinpoint issues fast.

Furnace Maintenance in Bellevue

Annual furnace maintenance prevents mid-winter breakdowns. Our tune-up includes burner cleaning, flame sensor service, heat exchanger inspection, blower motor lubrication, gas pressure testing, filter replacement, and carbon monoxide testing. We recommend scheduling every fall before Bellevue’s heating season kicks in.

Furnace repairs in Bellevue typically cost between $125 and $650. Flame sensor cleaning and igniter replacements are on the lower end. Blower motor replacements, gas valve repairs, and control board replacements cost more. We give you a flat-rate quote before starting.
The most common causes of furnace short cycling are a dirty air filter (restricting airflow and causing the unit to overheat), a failing flame sensor (the furnace lights but shuts off seconds later because it can't confirm the flame), or a faulty limit switch. Our Bellevue technicians diagnose the exact cause during the service call.
Yes. A furnace failure during a Bellevue winter night is an emergency — frozen pipes and unsafe indoor temperatures are real risks. We offer same-day and emergency furnace repair with priority scheduling. Call us any time.
A well-maintained gas furnace typically lasts 15-20 years in Bellevue's climate. Annual maintenance, regular filter changes, and prompt repairs extend the lifespan. If your furnace is over 15 years old and needing frequent repairs, it may be time to discuss replacement options.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
