Heating Installation in Redmond WA

Time to replace your Redmond heating system? We install furnaces, heat pumps, and ductless — sized right, permits handled, rebate paperwork included.

Reasons Redmond Homeowners Replace Their Heating System

  • Furnace over 15-18 years old and failing more often — at that age, cumulative repair costs typically exceed the savings from delaying replacement
  • Cracked heat exchanger — a safety issue, not a repairable part — risks carbon monoxide leaks into the home and requires immediate replacement, not repair
  • Repair estimate is close to half the cost of a new system — a common tipping point for Redmond homeowners weighing whether to invest more in an aging unit
  • Energy bills climbing year over year with the same usage — a sign efficiency has degraded — modern systems typically cut heating costs 20-30% in Redmond
  • Furnace was undersized or oversized for the home from the start — a common installation mistake we correct with a proper Manual J load calculation
  • Planning a remodel or addition that changes heating needs — the right time to resize or reconfigure the system rather than adapting it afterward
  • Wanting to qualify for Energy Smart Eastside or PSE conversion rebates — meaningful money available when switching from gas or electric resistance to a qualifying heat pump
Likely yes. Redmond is one of the cities covered by the Energy Smart Eastside program, which offers rebates for converting from gas or electric resistance heat to a qualifying heat pump. We'll help confirm eligibility during your quote and handle the submission paperwork if your project qualifies. Our team is trained on the specific ESE program requirements so we submit paperwork correctly the first time — rebate delays from paperwork errors are a common frustration we help avoid.
If your current system is gas and working fine, replacement isn't urgent. But if you're already facing a failed furnace, Redmond's mild winters make heat pumps a genuinely practical year-round choice — heating and cooling from one system, with rebate money offsetting a chunk of the upfront cost. The install quote lays out furnace, gas heat pump, and ductless options side by side with rebate-adjusted totals so the comparison is genuine rather than sales-driven.
A straightforward furnace or heat pump swap is usually one day. Ductless installations or jobs requiring new ductwork can take one to three days depending on scope. We'll give you a specific timeline in the quote so you can plan around it. For ductless multi-zone installs, indoor head placement is coordinated with you room by room rather than assumed — where you want cold air blowing matters.
Yes, we pull the required permit and schedule any city inspection as part of the job — you don't have to manage that paperwork yourself. This is included in the installation price, not a line item added later. The city inspection is scheduled by us and coordinated around your availability — you don't have to take time off for us to be at the house.

Heating Installation Options in Redmond

Gas Furnace Replacement — like-for-like swaps for Redmond homes staying on natural gas, sized to the existing ductwork.

Heat Pump Conversion — replacing an aging furnace or electric baseboard with a cold-climate heat pump, the path most Energy Smart Eastside rebates are built around.

Ductless Heat Pump Installation — for Redmond additions, garages-turned-offices, or homes with no existing ductwork at all.

A heating install is a fifteen-to-twenty-year decision, so we treat the consultation with the same weight. Our estimator walks the house, runs a load calculation based on square footage and insulation, checks ductwork condition, and lays out real numbers for each option — furnace, heat pump, ductless — with rebate-adjusted totals so you can compare apples to apples.

Once you choose, our licensed crew pulls the Redmond city permit, coordinates the electrical and gas work, installs the equipment, and schedules the required inspection. We’re careful with the details that get skipped by lower-bid installers — proper refrigerant charge on heat pumps, correct static pressure on furnace airflow, condensate drainage that won’t back up in year three.

If your project qualifies for Energy Smart Eastside or PSE rebates, we prepare the paperwork on your behalf and submit it as part of the job. The workmanship warranty on our installation labor stacks with the manufacturer’s equipment warranty, so you’re covered on both sides for years.

For Redmond installs converting from gas to a heat pump, we also handle the decommissioning side properly: capping the gas line to code, coordinating with PSE for meter changes if needed, and disposing of the old equipment. These transition details are where cheaper installers cut corners, and they’re the ones that cause problems years later when you sell the home or need a permit for something else.

For Redmond conversions specifically, the Energy Smart Eastside program has changed the economics of heating equipment decisions in ways many homeowners haven’t fully internalized. What used to be a straightforward furnace replacement is now a genuine choice between staying on gas, converting to a heat pump, or in some cases combining a high-efficiency furnace with a heat pump as a dual-fuel system. We walk through all three options rather than defaulting to any single answer.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
