Commercial Fryer Repair in Kirkland, WA

A commercial fryer that will not hold temperature or leaks oil is a kitchen shutdown waiting to happen — and a safety hazard while you wait. Kirkland’s restaurants, food trucks, and catering operations depend on fryers that fire reliably through every service. From the quick-service kitchens near 85th Street to the full-service restaurants downtown, we handle commercial deep fryer repair on-site with same-day scheduling.

Common Commercial Fryer Problems in Kirkland

Fryer not heating or heating slowly — a failing thermostat, a burned-out gas burner or electric element, or a clogged gas orifice. This is the top fryer repair call in Kirkland. Gas fryers in humid kitchens develop orifice blockages from corrosion and grease residue faster than in drier climates.

Oil temperature dropping during heavy frying — an undersized or failing heating system that cannot recover fast enough between loads. Busy Kirkland restaurants that run back-to-back fry cycles put maximum stress on burners and elements.

Pilot light going out repeatedly — a worn thermocouple, a draft issue from the exhaust system, or a gas supply interruption. Pilot failures are more common in Kirkland kitchens with older exhaust configurations that create negative pressure near the fryer.

Oil leaking from the drain valve or weld seams — a worn drain valve gasket, a cracked weld on the fry pot, or a corroded drain fitting. Hot oil leaks are a burn and fire hazard that require immediate service.

Fryer producing excessive smoke — oil breakdown from overheating, a thermostat stuck in the open position, or a failing high-limit switch. Smoke from a fryer also indicates the oil has degraded past its usable life.

Temperature gauge reading inaccurately — a failing thermostat probe, a drifted calibration, or a corroded sensor. Inaccurate temperature control means inconsistent food quality and potential health code issues.

Pitco Fryer Repair

Pitco fryers are the most common commercial fryer brand we service in Kirkland. The SG and SSH series gas fryers and the SE electric models are installed in restaurants, hotels, and institutional kitchens throughout the city. Common Pitco repairs include thermostat replacement, gas valve service, burner tube cleaning, and high-limit switch replacement. Pitco’s tube-fired gas design delivers fast recovery but the tubes corrode in humid environments — we inspect and replace corroded tubes before they crack and leak combustion gas into the kitchen.

Frymaster Commercial Fryer Repair

Frymaster fryers run in high-volume Kirkland operations — the H55 and RE series handle heavy fry loads in restaurants near Totem Lake and downtown. We repair Frymaster gas valves, thermostats, filter systems, and electric element assemblies. Frymaster’s built-in filtration systems extend oil life but add another maintenance point — clogged filter screens and failing pump motors are common Frymaster service calls.

Henny Penny Fryer Repair

Henny Penny pressure fryers and open fryers are found in chicken-focused restaurants and QSR operations across Kirkland. Pressure fryer repair is specialized work — the lid gaskets, pressure relief valves, and locking mechanisms are safety-critical components. We handle Henny Penny pressure fryer gasket replacement, thermostat calibration, and gas valve service with the manufacturer-specific tools these units require.

Commercial Gas and Electric Fryer Repair

Beyond the major brands, we service commercial fryers from Vulcan, Imperial, Globe, and Garland. Gas fryer repair typically involves burner assembly service, gas valve replacement, and thermocouple work. Electric fryer repair focuses on element replacement, contactor service, and high-limit switch diagnostics. We work on both fuel types and carry universal components that fit most commercial fryer models.

Most commercial fryer repairs in Kirkland range from $200 to $600. Thermocouple and pilot assembly repairs are at the lower end. Gas valve replacement, burner tube swaps, and electric element changes run $350 to $600 including parts and labor. Pressure fryer repairs may cost slightly more due to the specialized components and safety testing required.
Yes — all commercial fryer repairs happen on-site in your Kirkland kitchen. We carry thermostats, thermocouples, gas valves, igniters, heating elements, and high-limit switches on our service vehicles. The only exception is fry pot weld repairs on older units, which occasionally require shop work. Everything else gets done at your location.
Every six months for high-volume operations, annually for moderate use. Kirkland's humid climate accelerates burner corrosion and gas component wear, so skipping scheduled maintenance leads to mid-service failures. A maintenance visit includes thermostat calibration, gas connection inspection, burner cleaning, and high-limit safety testing.
Yes — hot oil leaks are both a burn hazard and a fire risk. Shut down the fryer immediately and call for service. The most common cause is a worn drain valve gasket, which is a quick and inexpensive fix. Less commonly, a cracked weld seam on the fry pot requires more involved repair. Either way, do not operate a leaking fryer.

Our refrigerator stopped properly cooling. While it wasn't completely out. it just wasn't cool enough to keep things fresh. Called Hotwire on Friday. Technician came out Saturday morning. Vlad is a young fellow but very knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem which was a frozen stuck fan. After removing the freezer tray, he pulled out his magic steamer gadget and defrosted the coils. He did a thorough job cleaning up and putting everything together. Happy to have things running again ahead of Superbowl Sunday.

The team here was great. I had an issue with a dishwasher, they were quick to diagnose it and informed us of reasonable alternatives. We chose to repair it, they ordered the part and installed it. Throughout, they were communicative, helpful, and nice. The price was reasonable as well. I'd go back to them for any appliance issues in the future!

My LG fridge/freezer stopped cooling. I called Rain City around 8pm, and they were able to get a technician out before Noon the next day. After inspecting the problem the tech informed me that the compressor went out, which is a somewhat common problem on LGs. He'd be able to fix it right away if I wanted. Given the labor needed to replace the compressor, I decided to just replace the refrigerator instead.
I was pleased how he explained the issue and presented me with various options. I'd definitely recommend.
